What Happens to My Data If I Cancel?

This article explains what happens to your information after you cancel your SLAY AI™ subscription, so there are no surprises.

Do I Still Have Access to My Data After I Cancel?

No.

Once your subscription is canceled:

  • you no longer have access to your SLAY AI™ dashboard

  • you cannot view, download, or interact with your data

  • your account is inactive

For that reason, we strongly recommend exporting or saving anything you need before canceling.

How Long Is My Data Stored After Cancellation?

After cancellation, your data is retained for six (6) months.

This retention period exists to:

  • allow account reactivation if you return

  • prevent accidental permanent loss

  • support continuity if cancellation was unintentional

During this time:

  • your data is stored securely

  • it is not accessible to you

  • it is not used for analysis or processing

What Happens After Six Months?

After the six-month retention period:

  • your data is permanently deleted

  • it cannot be recovered

  • your case information, documents, incidents, and outputs are removed from the system

Deletion is final.

Can I Reactivate My Account During the Retention Period?

Yes.

If you reactivate your account within six months of cancellation:

  • your data will still be available

  • your cases and documents will be restored

  • you can continue where you left off

If more than six months have passed, reactivation will start with a new, empty account.

What Should I Do Before Canceling?

Before canceling, we recommend that you:

  • export timelines, summaries, or exhibits you want to keep

  • save PDFs or documents to your device

  • confirm you’ve retained anything you may need later

Once access ends, exports are no longer available.
